Trump just made beef cheaper. Why is Thomas Massie angry?

Last week, President Donald Trump made one of the greatest trade decisions of his administration: he got rid of a tariff. Trump is now allowing beef to be imported into the country without any monetary fine from the state. This will increase our beef supply and reduce the price we pay to acquire it.

This is a major win and a refreshing change of course. Tariffs, as anyone who understands economics knows, raise prices. If foreign businesses want to stay in the country and maintain their profits, they have no choice but to do so. This gives domestic businesses an excuse to do the same.
