Trump surgeon general pick advances in Senate after year of vaccine feuds

President Donald Trump’s nominee for surgeon general, Nicole Saphier, was approved by the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions after convincing key Republican senators that she supports childhood vaccines, a stance that puts her at odds with other parts of the Trump political coalition.
