The View’s Sunny Hostin compared Republican women to “roaches voting for Raid” on Thursday.
“What’s also surprising to me is the abortion issue. I read a poll just yesterday that white Republican suburban women are now going to vote Republican,” she told her co-hosts. “It’s almost like roaches voting for Raid.”
She was interrupted by Alyssa Farah Griffin, who accused Hostin of insulting voters.

“They’re voting against their own self-interest. Do they want to live in Gilead? Do they want to live in The Handmaid’s Tale?” Hostin continued.
The hosts further discussed other important issues in next week’s midterm elections, namely inflation and crime.
While agreeing that Democratic candidates are not pushing a convincing message in response to crime concerns, Joy Behar said that increases in crime are due to weak gun laws. Sara Haines claimed that Democrats are not soft on crime, as Republicans are painting them, but that their messaging is falling flat.
Haines added that her biggest issue in the midterm elections is “election deniers,” calling them “my biggest fear right now.”
