Prince George’s County police have launched a two-week long nighttime campaign to target six crime hotspots in the county.
Officials are concentrating special teams of officers and detectives during late night and early morning hours around Langley Park, East Riverdale/Bladensburg, Suitland/Coral Hills, Kentland/Palmer Park, Hillcrest Heights/Marlow Heights, and Glassmanor/Oxon Hill neighborhoods.
The intensive patrols are intended to try to continue to minimize the number of homicides and other crimes in the county this year, after a surge in slayings last year.
