Trump attempts to reach out to African Americans

Donald Trump altered his campaign’s theme Saturday while attempting to reach out to African American voters.

The GOP’s presumptive nominee says he “revised” the “Make America great again” theme to “Make America safe again” in the wake of last week’s shooting in Orlando.

“We want to do it for everybody,” Trump said at a rally in Las Vegas. “We want to do it for African Americans.”

Trump used his stance on limiting immigration to try to appeal to black voters.

“African American youth have a 59 percent rate of unemployment and we’re letting people pour into our country. We have no idea who the hell they are,” Trump said.

He said more attacks are on the way.

“If you think Orlando was the end of it … with this weak president,” he said. “It wasn’t.”
