4 hurt in crash near Dupont Circle

District police are investigating a two-car collision that injured a pedestrian near Dupont Circle. The crash happened around 2:30 p.m. Thursday at 17th Street and Rhode Island Avenue NW. Authorities said the cars collided and one of the cars spun out of control and struck a pedestrian on a sidewalk. Fire rescue crews transported four adults, including the pedestrian, to a hospital, D.C. fire department spokesman Pete Piringer said. Two suffered serious injuries and two had minor injuries, police said.
