Chris Byrne, a senior Fox News producer who most recently worked on the “Hannity” program, is heading into the public relations industry.
Capitol Media Partners, a PR firm based in Los Angeles, announced Byrne’s hire Tuesday.
“Chris’ deep experience in the Washington, D.C., and New York City media circles make him an ideal candidate for Capitol Media Partners’ new New York City office,” said Brad Chase, partner in the CMP San Francisco office. “Chris’ experience and talent of merging traditional news media and digital media is an ideal asset for us. We are happy to have him aboard.”
Prior to joining Fox News, Byrne worked in the administration of President George W. Bush, serving in the White House press office under press secretary Dana Perino, who is now co-host of Fox News’ “The Five.” Byrne has been with Fox News since 2009.
“It was an honor working at Fox News,” Byrne told the Washington Examiner. “I’m just ready for a new challenge, professionally, and really looking forward to joining a talented team.”
Capitol Media Partners was co-founded by Richard Grenell, also a Fox News contributor with a history in the Bush White House. In 2001, he was appointed by Bush as the Director of Communications and Public Diplomacy for the United Nations.
