Gerard Depardieu, that French actor who’s in every French movie ever, confirms that he will be playing Dominique Strauss-Kahn in an upcoming film. “He’s not lovable,” Depardieu said of the disgraced former Internaional Monetary Fund chief, whom he called “arrogant” and “smug.” He added: “He’s playable. I will do it, because I don’t like him.”
It’s not Strauss-Kahn’s colorful sexual history or allegations that he tried to rape a New York hotel maid that bothers Depardieu, but his general Frenchness. “I think he is a bit like all French people, a bit arrogant,” Depardieu told Swiss Television. “I don’t like the French too much, by the way.”
