Stranded immigrants sleep on floor of El Paso airport in latest border rush

Videos taken at El Paso International Airport showed scores of immigrants sleeping on the floor as they waited for their flights.

As of Wednesday morning, over 200 immigrants were stranded at the Texas airport as they awaited their connecting flights to Miami, according to KFOX14. Several of the immigrants told the outlet that they had been stranded for several days.

Videos show immigrants sleeping in the hallways and the lines of the airport, crowding along the walls. Many families were among those seen bundled up along the walls, including many children.

Some immigrants told the outlet that they had bought tickets that were supposed to be an hourlong flight to Miami but that their flights kept getting changed.

“Tickets purchased by everyone was for one day, for one hour. But everyone’s ticket shifted to 48, 72 hours, five days,” one immigrant said.

They also complained about the lack of help from the airport.

“Information from the airport is the same, the line is the same; we’re not first or last. This is stealing,” another immigrant told the outlet.
