Former President Donald Trump unloaded on New York Attorney General Letitia James after she unveiled a whopping $250 million civil lawsuit against him, three of his adult children, and the Trump Organization.
“Another Witch Hunt by a racist Attorney General, Letitia James, who failed in her run for Governor, getting almost zero support from the public, and now is doing poorly against Law & Order A.G. candidate, highly respected Michael Henry,” Trump wrote in a post to his Truth Social platform.

Trump has long bashed James, accusing her of harboring political motivations in her “witch hunt” investigation into his business empire, which began in 2019. He hailed her midterm election rival Michael Henry as “highly respected” and reiterated his long-standing criticisms that she has been “a total crime-fighting disaster in New York.”
James unveiled a civil fraud lawsuit against the Trumps for allegedly engaging in fraudulent business practices. She is also hoping to ban Trump and the Trump Organization from buying New York real estate for the next five years.
Additionally, she is also calling for Trump, Donald Trump Jr., Ivanka Trump, and Eric Trump to be barred from serving as “an officer or director in any corporation” in New York.
“I never thought this case would be brought — until I saw her really bad poll numbers. She is a fraud who campaigned on a ‘get Trump’ platform, despite the fact that the city is one of the crime and murder disasters of the world under her watch,” the former president said. “She is a failed A.G. whose lack of talent in the fight against crime is causing record numbers of people and companies to flee New York. Bye, bye!”
Donald Trump’s children also responded to James’s announcement on social media, attaching a video of James’s past remarks vowing to sue him and “be a real pain in the a** to him.”
“Not a political ‘witch hunt?!’ What a joke…,” Eric Trump tweeted.

“Letitia James is not working for the Attorney Generals office — she is working for the DNC … 49 days before her election (newest poll has her tied with a Republican in New York State),” he added in a subsequent tweet.
Donald Trump Jr. also echoed the “witch hunt” line of attack against James.
“The bulls*** Dem witch-hunt continues,” he wrote, accompanied by a video similar to the one his brother tweeted.

Trump Jr. later disparaged James as a “Dem activist who only cares about politics” and included a graphic showing statistics about rising crime in New York.
Letitia James doesn’t care about the law. She’s a Dem activist, who only cares about politics.
Here’s the most recent poll in her reelection race. So she’s now desperately trying to fire up her leftwing base with this BS. This is ALL politics, nothing more.

James shrugged off criticism during her announcement of the lawsuit Wednesday, underscoring that the courts did not agree with the Trumps that she was embarking on a witch hunt. Her suit alleges the Trumps manipulated their financial statements for tax and business benefits.
“It is abundantly clear that the Attorney General’s Office has exceeded its statutory authority by prying into transactions where absolutely no wrongdoing has taken place,” Trump lawyer Alina Habba said in a statement obtained by the Washington Examiner. “We are confident that our judicial system will not stand for this unchecked abuse of authority, and we look forward to defending our client.”
