A fire in a home in Southeast D.C. killed a 5-year-old girl early Saturday morning.
Asia Sutton died when a fire engulfed a home at 3449 Minnesota Ave. SE, fire department spokesman Alan Edder said Sunday.
The fire engulfed an entire side of the two-story brick building when the department arrived on the scene, Edder said. Three of the four others in the home at the time of the fire suffered injuries and received treatment. Police call the blaze an electrical fire and the incident is under investigation.
