Claiming that Congress has been “stonewalled by the Justice Department” on its Fast & Furious investigation, Rep. Darrell Issa, chairman of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, confirmed to FOX News that he has been given authority by House Speaker John Boehner to prepare a contempt of Congress resolution against Attorney General Eric Holder for withholding internal documents on the controversial gun-tracking program.
The Los Angeles Times first reported Friday morning that Issa and top committee officials “were given the green light to proceed toward a contempt citation” after a meeting held in Boehner’s office.
