‘Let’s Go Brandon’ chant hits the streets

Let’s go, Brandon” hit the streets Thursday morning, with the three-word chant finding its way onto two massive Northern Virginia electronic road signs in Falls Church, a report said.

“I don’t think it’s particularly helpful to the discourse right now,” a resident whose home is about 100 yards from the signs told WTTG-TV.

Falls Church officials received several calls from Virginians on their morning commutes, saying the signs resulted from foul play.

“We were made aware this morning that someone had broken into the control cabinets on the electronic signs and changed the messaging,” said a spokesperson for developer Mill Creek Residential. “The signs were immediately corrected, and the cabinet locks have been fixed to prevent future incidents.”

The controversial phrase originated at a Florida NASCAR race when a journalist misreported the chant “F*** Joe Biden” as praise toward driver Brandon Brown.

“I have a pretty decent sense of humor,” the resident said. “But it is a new dangerous intersection, and ‘Let’s go, Brandon’ is really a, you know, euphemism or something for a pretty obscene chant against the president.”
