Early this morning, journalists tweeted their alarm after TMZ released photo of a shirtless old white guy with a shock of white hair was basking in the sun on a rock in a pair of red trunks.
“Topless Newt Gingrich — On a Rock, In a Hard Place” blared the headline.
Not so, according to Joe Desantis, who works for the Newt 2012 campain.
“Just asked Newt…the picture on TMZ is not him…remarkable resemblance though.” he wrote on Twitter.
