‘Senator Whiteguy’ and Democrats show just how fake their fight against racism really is

The infantilization of black and Hispanic Americans by Democrats has been on overdrive this week as they have tripped over themselves to show how phony their new “anti-racism” act really is.

President Joe Biden led the way for his party, using the “Latinx” label to refer to Latinos despite the fact that 76% of them have never heard of the term and 97% of them don’t use it. On top of that, Biden implied that all Latinos in the United States are here illegally.

Not to be outdone, conspiracy theorist Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse defended his membership in an allegedly exclusionary all-white club in his home state of Rhode Island. Whitehouse accepted that premise that the club was all-white before he later pushed back on that characterization, and then, the senator admitted that another club he belongs to “does lack diversity” and that is something that lands “squarely” on him.

If he really thought that, he’d probably explode from sanctimonious hypocrisy, but in fact, the story gets even better. Because, just to put the icing on the cake, Whitehouse’s senior staff members also happen to be all-white.

Whitehouse’s two (or three) allegedly all-white clubs have received a grand total of about five minutes of coverage on CNN and no coverage from MSNBC, ABC, CBS, and NBC. CNN’s (white) anchors are evidently too busy virtue-signaling about “white rage” while MSNBC hosts are too busy comparing a partisan voting bill failing in the Senate to slavery and apartheid.

Between the racial blunders of Democratic politicians and the selective, performative outrage of their media allies, Democrats’ commitment to fighting racism might appear insincere. Who would have thought this of the party that circled the wagons around Gov. Ralph “Blackface” Northam?

But fear not — the commitment to equity is being fought at the local level, where progressives have reached their anti-racist conclusion: Black and Hispanic students are incapable of being in advanced classes, and therefore, such classes must be scaled back.

That was the conclusion they reached in California in May as the state’s Department of Education will now try to discourage students from enrolling in advanced classes in the name of fighting “inequity.” It’s a similar issue that the city of New York has been pushing.

And, on top of it all, Biden’s Justice Department is now going to argue in court that black voters are incapable of acquiring a form of identification that would allow them to vote in the state of Georgia.

This all comes from the self-styled opponents of racism in our politics, most of it in this week alone.

It is nice to see the curtain pulled back — to see definitively that it’s all an act. Democratic politicians and their media allies don’t care about racism beyond its use as a political cudgel against their opponents. They ignore their own transgressions and pander to minority groups in an infantilizing fashion, then they wonder why President Donald Trump did so much better with black and Hispanic voters.

Democrats don’t care. Their entire spiel on race is a cynical political ploy, and this past week highlights that fact.
