Vienna groping suspect may have struck once again

Police say a man wanted for groping women near the Vienna Metro station may be responsible for a fifth assault in the area on Monday night.

A 46-year-old Fairfax-area woman was walking toward her Fairfield House Drive home when a man approached her from behind and groped her, according to the Fairfax County Police Department.

The incident and suspect match in description four prior assaults in late August and early September, police say.

“We are seeing a repeated pattern here,” said police department spokesman Rich Perez.

The suspect typically approaches lone women from behind and touches them inappropriately, then runs away after they scream, according to the police department.

Police have created a composite of the suspect, whois described as dark-skinned, possibly of Middle Eastern or Hispanic descent.

He is believed to be in his 20s, between 5 feet 4 inches and 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing from 130 to 160 pounds.

Authorities are asking anyone with information about the incident or suspects, or who saw something suspicious or out of place in their neighborhood, to call Crime Solvers at 1-866-411-8477.
