The folks over at downtown dining establishment BLT Steak have gotten the creative juices flowing, and are offering a variety of new burgers inspired by politics as part of their new “Burger Board” menu. One such burger is “The Birth Certificate.” Yes, they went there. Luckily for President Obama the burger is Hawaiian inspired, with pineapple and grilled Spam served atop an American Kobe beef patty. “This burger serves up the best of Hawaiian fare in tribute,” the restaurant’s rep tells Yeas & Nays. Other political burgers include “The VP,” which is basically a Sloppy Joe, and a pork barrel burger, a burger with pulled pork, grilled bacon and cole slaw on top.
