Fenty Burns Up Pavement

D.C. Mayor Adrian Fenty might be better-suited to running shorter distances. The dedicated runner ran National Race for the Cure 5K on the Mall in a little more than 19 minutes on Saturday, according to sources on site. Perhaps it was his attire: Fenty was sporting a running jersey promoting his parents’ store, Fleet Feet.

The 45,000-plus participants, who raised nearly $4 million, also included artist Katie Blixt, Rep. Jim Moran, D-Va., singer Patti Austin and CBS anchor Katie Couric.
