Authorities are looking for two men involved in the attempted robbery and shooting of an off-duty D.C. police officer who was headed to work Tuesday afternoon.
The 22-year-old police officer likely was saved by the bulletproof vest he was wearing under his coat, police said. Police are not releasing the officer’s name because he is a witness to the shooting.
