One might expect that the list posted on the Rolling Stone’s website entitled, “The 5 Most Dangerous Guns in America,” would let you know which weapons are most frequently involved in accidental shootings or chosen by nutjobs who go postal at the post office. But to do so would set your journalistic expectations above the level of the Rolling Stone.

Most people would refer to 3 out of these 5 as handguns and a fair number more would call this a shopping list. We’re just going to call it sloppy reporting. Seems like the Rolling Stone got lazy towards the end and picked derringer to round out the list. Because, seriously, when is the last time that you have seen one of these that wasn’t in a museum? Rolling Stone might not be as hip and cutting edge as it used to be.

A word of advice: don’t look for Second Amendment insight from a publication that knows more about the Sex Pistols than Berettas.
