New Hampshire Poll: Romney 41, Paul 14, Huntsman 10, Perry 8

A new Suffolk University poll of 400 likely voters shows former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney with a commanding lead in New Hampshire’s GOP presidential primary, traditionally the first primary of the campaign season. At 41 percent, Romney is 27 points ahead of his closest rival in the state, Texas congressman Ron Paul. Former Utah governor Jon Huntsman came in at 10 percent, while Texas governor (and national front-runner) Rick Perry received only 8 percent.

The latest poll continues to show Romney’s strength in New Hampshire, the state where he launched his 2012 campaign and where he has spent a significant amount of time since.The RealClearPolitics poll average for New Hampshire gives Romney a 21.7 percent lead.
