Republican voters who’ve developed a favorable view of Russian President Vladimir Putin would have Ronald Reagan rolling “in his grave,” President Obama told reporters on Friday.
“Over a third of Republican voters approve of Vladimir Putin, the former head of the KGB. Ronald Reagan would roll over in his grave,” the president said during his final White House press conference.
Reagan played a major role in the collapse of the Soviet Union while serving as president during the Cold War. A recent poll said 32 percent of Republicans have some kind of favorable view toward Putin.
