Prince George’s County police have identified the man who was shot and killed by officers Monday as 19-year-old Trayvon Dodson of District Heights.
Police said Dodson was shot after police responded to a report of a man armed with a handgun threatening residents in Palmer Park on Monday afternoon. When the officers arrived, police said the man brandished a handgun toward them. Police opened fire, killing the teen.
