Man pleads not guilty to robbing off-duty cops

A 21-year-old Owings Mills man pleaded not guilty Wednesday to charges of robbing three off-duty police officers who were in Baltimore attending a slain officer?s funeral.

Jean Sierra?s trial is scheduled for June 26 in Baltimore City Circuit Court.

A Baltimore City grand jury indicted Sierra on multiple counts of robbery, armed robbery and assault, alleging that on Jan. 16 at 2:30 a.m.

Sierra pointed a handgun at the group of three off-duty law enforcement officers to rob them in the 2800 block of O?Donnell Street.

Police searched the area and detained Sierra, who was then allegedly identified by a victim, prosecutors said.

Sierra remains held without bail at the Baltimore City Detention Center.
