Donald Trump’s controversial campaign manager refused to apologize to a former Brietbart reporter who has alleged he manhandled her.
Corey Lewandowski said on “Fox News Sunday” that he has never met Fields and called such an apology “unrealistic.”
“To apologize for someone I have never spoken to is a little unrealistic right now,” Lewandowski said, noting that he would have a conversation with Fields.
Fields, a former Brietbart reporter, alleged that Lewandowski grabbed her and nearly knocked her down while she was trying to ask Trump a question after an event. She eventually filed charges, but after Lewandowski was arrested and charged, the Palm Beach state attorney said that the office won’t pursue charges against Lewandowski due to lack of evidence.
Lewandowski said that he had called Fields shortly after the alleged indcident but Fields denies any such call.
Lewandowski said on Sunday that he turned over his phone to Palm Beach prosecutors and that “clearly shows” he tried to call her.
