‘He’s a weak leader’: Pelosi denounces Trump for ‘assigning blame’ on the coronavirus

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi brushed aside attacks from President Trump calling her “crazy” and “away on vacation” during a nationwide pandemic.

“Frankly, I don’t pay that much attention to the president’s tweets against me,” Pelosi said on ABC’s This Week. “As I’ve said, he’s a poor leader. He’s always trying to avoid responsibility and assign blame.”

“An incompetent political hack,” Trump responded to a video of Pelosi showing off her freezer packed with ice cream at her home in San Francisco. “Come back to Washington & take care of our great American workers.”

“Leaders, leaders take responsibility. So I said he’s a weak leader. He doesn’t take responsibility. He places blame, blame on others,” Pelosi said on Fox News. “And that might have been OK before, but we cannot continue down a path that is, again I’ll come back to science, science, science, evidence, data on how we should go forward.”

Trump has suggested Democrats such as Pelosi are using the pandemic to achieve a political agenda.

“No matter what you do for the Do Nothing Democrats, no matter how GREAT a job you are doing, they will only respond to their Fake partners in the Lamestream Media in the negative, even in a time of crisis,” Trump said.
