Former President Donald Trump announced Friday that his rally in Greenwood, Nebraska, has been postponed due to inclement weather.
“Thank you to all who waited in line for our Save America Rally tonight in Greenwood, Nebraska. Because of severe weather, including the possibility of 60 mph+ wind, hailstorms, and maybe even tornadoes, I will not be coming to Nebraska tonight, but rather, weather permitting, will be there this Sunday night, May 1st,” a statement from Trump read.
“The most important thing is to keep you safe, and that cannot be done with such a terrible forecast. Thank you to Charles W. Herbster and his wonderful staff for working so professionally with us. See you Sunday!”

Large hail, strong damaging winds, flash flooding, and possible tornadoes are expected to hit the region, according to the National Weather Service.
“Severe storms appear likely between 6 PM and 11 PM, mainly along and south of an Albion to Sioux City line,” the NWS Hazardous Weather Outlook read. “All hazards are possible, including a few tornadoes, hail [the] size of limes, damaging wind gusts of 60 to 70 mph, and localized flash flooding.”
