D.C. police have arrested a suspect in a fatal shooting that occurred early Sunday morning in northwest D.C.
Officers responded to the 1200 block of 11th Street, NW at about 2:25 a.m. Sunday, where they found a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim, 24-year-old Jose Hernandez-Romero, was taken to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
When officers arrived, “they found the suspect being restrained by witnesses to the shooting,” according to D.C. police.
Alexis Pineda, 24, was arrested and charged with Murder Two While Armed. A firearm was recovered at the scene, police said.
