On the Laura Ingraham radio show yesterday, Rick Santorum criticized Herman Cain’s 9-9-9 plan, calling it a “huge mistake.”
The plan would would eliminate capital gains taxes, the payroll tax and the estate tax and replace it with a 9 percent business tax, 9 percent income tax, and a 9 percent national sales tax.

Santorum warned that the plan, “brings a national sales tax to the federal government, and that is a huge mistake,” he said, reminding listeners Congress would have the power to raise those taxes in the future.
