President Trump said in a Monday interview that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was crazy, while answering questions about potential impeachment from Congress.
“Pelosi, she’s crazy,” Trump said to Sean Hannity in an appearance on Fox News. Trump has been outspoken in his criticism of Pelosi since he became the target of an impeachment inquiry launched by House Democrats this summer.
“It’s supposed to be for high crimes and misdemeanors,” Trump said of the boundaries for presidential impeachment. Pelosi has asserted multiple times that Trump is guilty of a quid pro quo and other malfeasance related to a July 25 phone call between himself and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
