RAP Editor Francesca Chambers takes to the airwaves to discuss CPAC

With the 40th annual Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) just around the corner, the three day conference has become a hot topic among politicos across the ideological spectrum throughout the last few weeks.

Red Alert Politics Editor in Chief Francesca Chambers, who is slated to speak at this year’s conference this afternoon, was a guest on Smart Girl Politics’ new FTR radio podcast to give a preview of her CPAC remarks. Francesca and the show’s hosts, SGP founders Teri Christoph and Stacey Mott, also discussed the conservative entertainment conundrum. Francesca argued that conservatives have more influence in the entertainment industry than they give themselves credit for.

Francesca also spoke with Daniel Marans, a host of Take Action News on We Act Radio, about CPAC’s Chris Christie snub. Francesca argued on the progressive radio show, which airs nationally and in the Chicago metro area, that debacle won’t affect Christie’s 2016 chances. She also pointed out that while the American Conservative Union, which runs CPAC, has the right not to invite Christie to speak at the conference, the organization appears to be hypocritically doling out rejections this year to people and groups it feels are not conservative enough.
