Lincoln advertising agency migrating to Omaha

LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) — A Lincoln-based advertising agency will be moving the bulk of its staff to Omaha.

Bailey Lauerman began operating in Lincoln in 1970 and eventually opened an Omaha office.

CEO Andy Fletcher told the Lincoln Journal Star (http://bit.ly/Pu0WWf ) that representatives of its out-of-town client base usually visit the Omaha office. Fletcher says the customers prefer the convenience offered by Omaha’s Eppley Airfield rather than the more modest flight offerings of the Lincoln Airport.

He says all of the creative staff of artists, designers and copywriters and the account management staff will be consolidated in Omaha, leaving administration and finance staffers in Lincoln.

The current Omaha office has about 30 employees, with about 50 in Lincoln.

Fletcher says some jobs will be lost as redundant positions are consolidated.
