Sen. Marco Rubio on Thursday night kept up the attack on President Obama’s environmental regulations by saying they’re killing jobs for people all across the country.
“Regulations in this country are out of control, especially the Employment Prevention Agency, the EPA,” Rubio said to laughs, “and all of the rules they continue to impose on our economy, hurting us.”
Rubio made the comments during an exchange about the U.S. trade relationship with China. His contention is the best way to deal with China is to have a strong American economy, and among the ways he would do that is repeal the environmental regulations along with Obamacare.
Rubio has said on the trail he’s in favor of an all-of-the-above energy strategy that includes both fossil fuels and renewables. He said government needs to get out of the way of the energy sector and allow the market to dictate the forms of energy that become popular.
