Getting the jump on the 2022 midterm congressional elections, a prominent conservative family group’s new congressional report card has found that just 79 of 535 House and Senate members have a 100% score and far more — 184 — rate 0%, the worst possible score.
The Concerned Women for America Legislative Action Committee plans to release its scorecard tomorrow and said the findings show a hard left shift in the new Congress that came in with liberal President Joe Biden.
“The radical left turn in the priorities of Congress sadly reflects once again that elections have consequences,” said Penny Young Nance, CEO and president of CWALAC.
“In 2021, a new majority took over in Washington. Unfortunately, our legislative team has had to spend the last year working to oppose the radical policies and extreme ideologies of the Democrat majority in order to defend the values of American women,” she added.
The group provided Secrets with an advance look at its report card.
Like the scorecards from other groups, this one graded how members voted on issues key to the agenda of Concerned Women For America, a highly influential anti-abortion, pro-traditional family organization.
The deceptively named Women’s Health Protection Act (H.R. 3755) does nothing less than advance a culture of death by abortion in America.

It’s mission statement said it “protects and promotes Biblical values and Constitutional principles through prayer, education, and advocacy.”
It has seven core issues it watches for over 500,000 members: “family, the sanctity of human life, religious liberty, education, sexual exploitation, national sovereignty, and support for Israel.”
It scored 10 votes and positions that covered those issues to come up with its grades. Among the key votes were those touching on so-called “woke” and gender issues, pushing women into the draft and legalizing marijuana.

Those with 100% scores were conservative Republicans and there were few surprises.
However, it did give embattled Wyoming Rep. Liz Cheney a 97% while some of her critics fell short.
For example, House GOP leader Kevin McCarthy scored 93%, House GOP Whip Rep. Steve Scalise scored an equal 97% and Rep. Elise Stefanik, who replaced Cheney as chair of the House Republican Conference, scored 88%.

Also, several of those endorsed by former President Trump have high or perfect 100% scores including Arizona Rep. Andy Biggs, Wisconsin Sen. Ron Johnson, Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul and Arkansas Sen. John Boozman.
Among Democrats, there were also few surprises. Liberals such as Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez received a few points for breaking with Democratic leaders on a handful of issues. She received a 13%.
The group said it found that Republicans were more likely than Democrats to challenge their party line.
“We would much rather be on the side of advancing the freedoms that are the foundation of our great nation, and we are very grateful for all the members of Congress who have fought to preserve those freedoms,” said Nance. “Members’ scores reflect on which side of the divide they stand. Americans are looking forward to the 2022 elections to right the ship – CWA Legislative Action Committee’s congressional scorecards will assist voters in making that choice,” she added.
