Redskins injury report

Safety LaRon Landry was sent home today because of concussion-like symptoms. Coach Jim Zorn said Landry had headaches and felt nauseous and termed it a “mild concussion.”

“It just flared up,” Zorn said. “He started getting headaches yesterday. We started to do all the testing and today it wasn’t any better so we sent him home to take precautions.”

With Kareem Moore already starting for Reed Doughty, the Redskins would be forced to start Lendy Holmes at the other safety — or use Fred Smoot more than desired. The problem is, Moore is limited to free safety.

Meanwhile, receiver Devin Thomas (ankle) did not practice. He still has trouble with lateral movement. Defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth’s hip was sore and was held out of practice. Linebacker Rocky McIntosh (back) was limited. Receiver Santana Moss (knee) also was limited.
