Knapp: ‘I’m not looking for offers’

Montgomery County Councilman Mike Knapp, who announced Tuesday he won’t seek a third term, tells The Washington Examiner he doesn’t have a job lined up after his exit from the political stage.

“I’m not looking for offers,” he said. “I may be starting a business; I may be creating a research institute.”

He said he will spend the next few months putting a business plan together and added this year’s contentious legislative session didn’t push him out.

His term ends at the beginning of December.

“It’s been eight years,” he said. “It’s been the longest I’ve been at any single job.”
