To celebrate its 10 years of putting members of Congress in floppy hats and having them recite Shakespeare on stage, the Shakespeare Theatre Company is bringing in a professional for this year’s “Will on the Hill” performance. Actor Richard Schiff, probably best known for his role on “The West Wing,” will lead a troupe of “actors” in the original play “Speak the Speech, I Pray You!” at the annual STC fundraiser to be held May 7. This year’s company will include some old favorites including Reps. Eleanor Holmes Norton of Washington, Shelley Berkley, D-Nev., Jared Polis, D-Colo., Sen. Roger Wicker, R-Miss., and journalists Major Garrett and Rick Klein.
