Former President Jimmy Carter is on his way to Washington, D.C., for President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration.
Atlanta journalist Greg Bluestein tweeted a photo of the 39th president on a Delta Air Lines flight from Georgia on Thursday.

The source who sent the photo to Bluestein said Carter walked up and down the aisles to shake hands with passengers.
Carter was the first former president to announce he would attend Trump’s inauguration on Jan. 20. Former Presidents Bill Clinton and George W. Bush will also be in attendance.
