KEY WEST, Fla. (AP) — A British scholar and academic writer has won the Lorian Hemingway Short Story Competition, the literary highlight of Key West’s annual salute to Ernest Hemingway.
Lizzy Welby of London earned $1,500 for “The Breakers,” announced Friday night as the best of 938 American and international submissions.
