Conservatives and Liberals: Who s Got the Bigger Stethoscope?

It was the Battle of the Nurses around Washington on Wednesday, as liberals and conservatives used Michael Moore’s appearance in our fair city as a way to advance their agendas … using nurses.

The conservative Motion Picture Institute’s “Free Market Cure” project aims to “show the horrors of a single-payer system and debunk claims made in Moore’s ‘Sicko,’ ” according to a flier. Volunteers dressed up as nurses and protested outside of Wednesday night’s “Sicko” premiere in Cleveland Park.

The liberal CODEPINK sent its “nurses” to Capitol Hill, where they attended Moore’s press conference. A CODEPINK rep says they were pushing for “more health care and less warfare.”
