New polls from the Hill/ANCA show Virginia Democratic Reps. Tom Perriello and Glenn Nye trailing by 1 point and 6 points, respectively, in their re-election bids.
Republican state Sen. Robert Hurt leads Perriello in the 5th Congressional District race, 45-44, with 9 percent undecided. The survey, conducted from Sept. 28-30, polled 403 likely voters via telephone and has a margin of error of +/- 4.9 percentage points.
In the 2nd District, Republican candidate Scott Rigell leads Nye, 42-36, with a hefty 19 percent still undecided. The poll of 397 likely voters was conducted via telephone from Sept. 25-27 and has a margin of error of +/- 4.9 percentage points.
