American Ebola patient’s condition improves

An American healthcare worker with Ebola is making improvements, as the National Institutes of Health moved the worker’s condition from critical to serious.

The unidentified aid worker contracted the disease while doing volunteer work in Sierra Leone. The worker is being treated at a facility on NIH’s campus in Bethesda, Md. The patient’s condition had worsened earlier this month.

Meanwhile, roughly 15 people who came into contact with the aid worker are still being monitored for the virus. So far none has been diagnosed with the disease.
