Democratic abortion policy is deeply unpopular, as yet another poll confirms

Published

Yet another poll confirms that the Democratic Party is abandoning the American middle on the abortion issue.

A new NPR/PBS NewsHour/Marist poll finds that only 18% of Americans support third-trimester abortion, very close to the 13% result from an earlier Gallup poll. A plurality of the country, nearly 3 in 10 Americans, believe abortion should only be allowed in cases of rape, incest, and to save the mother’s life, followed by 23% who support legal abortion up until the end of the first trimester of pregnancy, or about 13 weeks.
