Who needs Hollywood? President Obama re-election campaign has reportedly hired documentary director Davis Guggenheim to make a 30-minute movie about Obama’s first 3 years in office.
Guggenheim won an Oscar in 2006 for Al Gore’s global warming documentary “An Inconvenient Truth,” and also directed Waiting for Superman.
Campaign finance records show that Guggenheim has already donated $500.00 to President Obama in September 2011, and he also donated $2300.00 to the campaign in 2008.
According to Bloomberg News, Obama’s re-election team spent $162,834 on the film last month.
