Falls Church-based Inova Health System is among the top five nonprofits when it comes to promoting female executives, according to a new ranking. The National Association for Female Executives recognized nonprofits for taking particular initiative in promoting women to top positions. The association looked at how many women were in senior management, on the boards of directors, and in the company. Three local companies were recognized as being among the best businesses for women execs: Gannet Co. of McLean and Marriot International of D.C. both made the top 10, and Reston-based Sallie Mae was also named.
