Bottoming out the polls for the Democratic presidential nomination, Michael Bennet knows what it’s like to be invisible.
He embraced that quality with a tweet Tuesday afternoon offering a reprieve from tumult of the Trump years.
“If you elect me president, I promise you won’t have to think about me for 2 weeks at a time,” Bennet said.
“I’ll do my job watching out for North Korea and ending this trade war. So you can go raise your kids and live your lives,” he added.

I’ll do my job watching out for North Korea and ending this trade war.
So you can go raise your kids and live your lives.

Bennet, a 10-year senator from Colorado, is registering at 0% in the RealClearPolitics average of polls.
His tweet drew snarky comments from Twitter users saying they already do not think about him.
I already don’t think about you.

Bennet, who deleted a similar tweet in another thread, made the comments during campaign visit to the battleground state of South Carolina.
Manning, SC has welcomed us with exceptional hospitality: friendly people, great food at JK’s House of Ribs (on their day off, no less!), and questions that tell me these are folks who care deeply about their neighbors and this nation. pic.twitter.com/DnhvJtUMY7
