Call centers carrying 450 jobs to Paducah

PADUCAH, Ky. (AP) — A customer service company that is opening a center in Hopkinsville will open two facilities in Paducah, bringing 450 jobs to that city.

Gov. Steve Beshear’s office announced the plan by TeleTech Holdings Inc. on Thursday. One of the Paducah facilities will be in the downtown historic district, and the second will be built in the city’s commerce park.

TeleTech announced last May it was opening a site in Hopkinsville, investing more than $12 million and creating 500 to 700 jobs over the next few years.

Beshear’s office said Colorado-based TeleTech has more than 43,000 employees and 50 centers worldwide.
