OFFENSIVE PLAYER TO WATCH:STEVEN JACKSON
The Rams’ running back easily had his best game of the season in a 34-14 upset of the Dallas Cowboys last week. Jackson rushed for 160 yards and three touchdowns on 25 carries to raise his season totals to 508 yards and four touchdowns. He will have to be just as good this afternoon at 1 when the Rams (2-4) play at New England (4-2).
DEFENSIVE PLAYER TO WATCH: JAMES FARRIOR
The Pittsburgh linebacker had his best game of the season in a 38-10 win over the Bengals last week. The former Virginia star made 11 tackles — six unassisted — and a sack. Farrior has 39 tackles and 1.5 sacks this season. Pittsburgh (5-1), the AFC North Division leader, faces its biggest challenge of the season this afternoon at 4:15 when it hosts the defending Super Bowl champion New York Giants (5-1).
