Following the U.S. Navy’s launch of 50 missiles into a Syrian airfield, several 2013 tweets from President Trump have resurfaced.
The tweets called on President Barack Obama not to attack Syria.

In September 2013, Trump tweeted, “AGAIN, TO OUR VERY FOOLISH LEADER, DO NOT ATTACK SYRIA – IF YOU DO MANY VERY BAD THINGS WILL HAPPEN & FROM THAT FIGHT THE U.S. GETS NOTHING!”

He also said in a separate tweet, “There is no upside and tremendous downside.”
Earlier this week, Syrian President Bashar al-Assad launched a chemical weapons attack that killed over 80 people.
