Sandstorm leaves eight dead in Utah interstate pileup

At least eight people were killed, and several others were injured after a sandstorm blinded Utah drivers, causing a massive pileup over the weekend.

High winds caused the sandstorm that impaired visibility in Millard County around 4:30 p.m. local time on Sunday, the Utah Highway Patrol said in an update. They said that “some children” were among the dead.
